Historic Watches on Display in Berlin

Should you happen to be in Berlin this Summer, or more specifically between the dates June 5th and July 2nd then you may be interested to know that there is an exposition of historically significant Rolex watches on display at the Rolex Boutique located in the city centre.

Rolex Deepsea

This display promises to be a treat for Rolex enthusiasts who will no doubt be eager to see examples of some of the rarest and most meaningful watches the company has ever produced. The timepieces will be displayed in chronological order beginning with the very first watch produced by the company in 1905.  There will also be some other very interesting watches on display too, including the watch that was worn Mercedes Gleitze when she swam across the English channel, the Oyster Perpetual that belonged to and was worn by Sir Edmund Hillary on his 1953 journey to the summit of Mount Everest and even a prototype Rolex Deepsea Special that was submerged to a depth of 10,916 metres attached to a research submarine.

Rolex Boutique in Berlin

So, this truly is a rare opportunity to see some unusual and historically valuable Rolex watches for yourself. However, if you’re visiting Berlin this Summer, but after the exhibition has taken place then don’t write off a visit to the Rolex Boutique. It is still an excellent place to view a very varied selection of current Rolex models including classics such as the Rolex Submariner and more recent models such as watches from the Rolex New Datejust Lady range.
