English luxury watch manufacturer Bremont’s first dive watch is a milestone in the young company’s product range. A high performance sports watch that combines aviation design influence with impeccable functionality, the Supermarine fills an important niche in the Bremont collection.
Bremont beautifully combine their aviation roots with dive functionality. Although unseen, the automatic chronometer movement contains the distinctive Bremont rotor design, which is also reflected in the shape of the minute hand and the engraving on the case back. The Supermarine is named in tribute to the founders’ love of sea planes; specifically the S.6B developed in 1931 to race in the Schneider Trophy and, as such, will take the wearer seamlessly from air to land to sea.
Connoisseurs should not allow Bremont’s style elements to detract from the dive functionality. The chronometer is certified by COSC with the certificate included in the watch package. The case is made from three parts of stainless steel, with a sapphire crystal, anti-scratch domed bezel. The dial itself features distinctive turquoise Super Lumi Nova highlighting on the hands and hour markers, giving superior clarity in low light conditions. The luminosity is carried through to the unidirectional rotating bezel.
Following the unarguably successful launch of the Bremont Supermarine watch, the company have this year introduced the Bremont B-1 Marine Clock. Bremont’s first clock will be produced to customer’s specifications to match the interior of their vessel and will be manufactured entirely in the United Kingdom. Locking fixings secure the clock’s considerable 16kg weight to the bulkhead with the included fixing plate. Clients wishing to view the prototype of the B-1 should contact us to make an appointment.
