Return of the Breitling Colt GMT

Breitling have been responsible for producing a variety of innovative and highly functional watches since their inception. It is this experience in the manufacture of watches with purpose and strong ties to the world of aviation that led Breitling to produce the Colt GMT.

The Breitling Colt GMT

Although it was one of Breitlings’ most popular models for many years the GMT was officially discontinued by the company in 2007 to make way for the Breitling GMT+, however production was resumed once again in 2010 due to popular demand.

The Breitling Colt GMT is so called as it is, much like the Rolex GMT, capable of simultaneoulsy  displaying the time in two different time zones. The Colt GMT utilises a discrete additional hour hand that can be set independently, allowing the user to easily read the time for their current location and one other of their choice. This supplementary hour hand is designed in such a way as to eliminate any potential confusion between times, for example 5am and 5pm.

Like all other the watches produced by Breitling, the Colt GMT is build to a very high standard and is designed to withstand shocks and changes it pressure, it is also water resistant to a depth of 500m. It is this rugged durability combined with an attractive and stylish design that has become a hallmark of the company making the Colt GMT unmistakably a Breitling.

If it is practicality and reliability that you’re looking for in a watch then the Breitling Colt GMT is undoubtedly the time piece for you.
