Rolex's Blooming Rose

Introduced at Basel in 2008, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona “Everose” features a new gold alloy, which Rolex refers to as “Everose”.

Rolex created the new alloy in-house by mixing 18k gold, copper and a minuscule amount of platinum. Usually with rose gold, chlorinated water will react with the copper in the alloy causing the usually shining rose gold to lose its’ lustre. This does not happen with “Everose” thus making it completely pool friendly. Rolex sums it up best, when saying that “Everose”, “is the perfect blended colour of gold that will remain pink for ever”.

The beauty of the new alloy is that it gives the Daytona a warmer and more subtle than the yellow gold models of the Daytona, however “Everose” also gives the Daytona a more visually distinguished look than white gold variants. This newest addition to the world’s most renowned family of timepieces exudes class and elegance.

Similar to all other Daytona watches currently in production, the Rose Gold Daytona is powered by the automatic 4130 Rolex proprietary movement, is equipped with the exclusive Parachrom hairspring, features a 72 hour power reserve, features column-wheel chronograph with vertical clutch and is water resistant up to 100 meters. The major difference between the “Everose” and other Daytona’s is the bracelet, which is a solid link bracelet and uses a different method to adjust the bracelet to size, without having to use a screwdriver or toothpick.

The “Everose” is a spectacular addition to Rolex’s collection of watches, and the stunning rose gold makes the “Everose” look like a blooming rose on your wrist.
