The Prestigious Rotonde de Cartier

Established in 1847, Cartier is renowned for their luxurious jewellery, and has a distinguished history of serving royalty, aristocracy as well as celebrities of the time. In 1904 King Edward VII honoured Cartier with the Royal Warrant of supplier to the Royal Court of England, and their reputation for fine quality pieces of outstanding beauty continued to spread worldwide. The courts of Spain, Portugal, Serbia, Egypt and several others soon followed, presenting Cartier with such a prestigious award.

The beautiful Rotonde de Cartier Watch

Whilst the Cartier name is synonymous with exquisite jewellery, they are lesser known for their watches. Cartier, in fact, designed the first men’s wristwatch- the Santos- in 1904, which is a historical yet timeless piece. Their designs were distinctive, with a square bezel and roman numerals, and today, over 160 years after the company was founded, the Cartier watch is still recognised as a symbol of wealth and style.

Inspired by the classic Calibre de Cartier, the Rotonde de Cartier Watch has a traditional essence with a modern edge. This stunning 18ct white gold piece features a 42mm circular case, a striking silver dial with 12 black numerals, and elegant blued-steel apple-shape hands. This central chronograph, manual wind watch boasts an impressive 8 day power reserve, courtesy of the Cartier Calibre 9910 movement exhibited by a sapphire caseback. Cartier are not merely makers of aesthetically pleasing pieces, but manufacturers of some of the most reliable and accurate watches to date.

The Rotonde de Cartier also features a black, round scale alligator strap which next to the pure white gold presents a dramatic monochrome look, which exudes both elegance and power. This statement piece is both practical and beautiful; truly a must have for any Cartier enthusiast and collector, or a breathtaking gift for a loved-one.
