Chopard Is Giving Itself a 150th Birthday Present

A Chopard watch is an instantly recognisable symbol of good taste and sophistication. It’s distinctly different from any other maker of luxury Swiss watches. The careful design of a Chopard is built for both precision and reliability whilst still maintaining the elegant aesthetic that has made them champions of the horologoical industry.

To celebrate, Chopard made these gorgeous watches

Chopard was celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2010 and they wanted to pass this celebration on to you. So they released the new Chopard L.U.C 1937 – a key year for the branding and growth of the Chopard family.

In 1937, Paul-Andre Chopard, the grandson of the original founder of the company took a great risk in opening up the branded watches in Geneva. It paid off and turned out to be a huge success and arguably the most significant event in the company’s long history in the watch making business. To commemorate this fortunate success, on their anniversary, Chopard opted to unveil the re-edition of the classic timepiece that was their flagship at the moment of truth.

The Chopard family is a warm and loving environment from which they craft many beautiful watches. The newest member to the family, the Chopard L.U.C 1937, is a wonderfully simple and understated watch. Hand wound with an alligator strap, this watch encapsulates all of the simple, sleek style of its predecessors in a neat and basic package.
Two distinctive models are available: one with a white ceramic face with black minute markers and Roman numeral, the other is brushed silver with rhodium plated hour and minute markers. With the classic Chopard seal of quality this watch is a model that is likely to be able to last another 150 years.
