Announced earlier this week Omega Watches took their involvement with the world of golf to another level by signing the sports newest star, Rory McIlroy.
The ever popular golfer from Northern Ireland has had a particularly spectacular rise to fame at such a young age. Now considered one of the sport’s most talented and accomplished players the 23 year old has already won two majors, setting a scoring record at the 2011 U.S Open and a record for his eight-shot margin of victory last summer at Kiawah Island in the PGA Championship. Up until two weeks ago he was world number one – only to be knocked off the top spot by Tiger Woods.
McIlroy joins a whole host of Omega Ambassadors including George Clooney, Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman as well as other accomplished golf stars including Greg Norman and the Women’s World Number One Stacey Lewis.
