British luxury watch brand Bremont never remains idle for very long, and it seems as though they are almost consistently garnering admiration and acclaim from various parties. The last few weeks have been no exception, as Bremont has been heavily involved in not one but two prominent news stories. As well as being honoured within the pantheon of great British trademarks, Bremont has also managed to power ahead with its international development, and the global appeal that Bremont chronometers currently command is nothing short of astonishing.
Bremont enjoys no shortage of popularity on its home shores, as not only does it provide the finest examples of British horology in current circulation, but it also supports a variety of other UK based projects as well. Because of this influence, Bremont was privileged to be featured in a recent celebration of British design at the LINLEY showroom on Pimlico Road, London. Nineteen select British brand names were carefully compiled - largely according to a process that prioritised qualities of engineering aptitude and innovation - thereby creating a spectacle that brought all these notable companies together under a single roof. Although the opening ceremony was a one-off event that has now concluded, the exhibition itself is still open for a few more days, and Bremont is unreservedly delighted to have been a part of it.
However, Bremont has also proven extremely capable with regards to their overseas expansion as well, and Nick and Giles English have most recently been making significant strides in Qatar. A new partnership with 51 East, one of the most prestigious of all Doha retailers, is the fruit of this ongoing labour, and three locations of 51 East are now set to be furnished with a variety of Bremont watches. 51 East holds the reputation for being the very first Qatar retailer to pioneer the sale of luxury brands in their area, specifically back in the 1950s, and so their decision to promote Bremont in this fashion speaks volumes for the growing authority of this latter brand. Nick and Giles English, the joint founders of Bremont, are meticulous in finding the correct partners to further their global expansion, and they have undoubtedly established a very secure foothold in Qatar with this latest venture.
Bremont has deservedly built up a considerable amount of momentum for their company name during a relatively short time, and here at Banks Lyon we feel honoured to not only stock their prestigious range of watches, but also to have observed their somewhat meteoric rise. Rather excitingly, Bremont has irrefutably confirmed their presence at the Baselworld Watch Fair 2014 too, stating that new additions to their catalogue of luxury chronometers will be exclusively unveiled at this year’s event. Although no details are known as of yet, we will be sure to bring you all of the most up to date news as soon as we hear about it, so visit the Baselworld 2014 Releases page on our website to keep up with our latest pre-orders.
