Tag Heuer sponsored the Goodwood Festival of Speed for the second time last weekend (28th June - 1st July) and Banks Lyon were invited along as special guests and official Tag heuer stockists.
One of the events held by TAG Heuer was a celebration of French racer, Alain Prost's career. He was closely associated with TAG Heuer through his prestigious career, compromising 51 victories, 33 pole positions and 106 podium finishes between 1980 and 1993.

TAG Heuers Honourary Chairman and Edouard Heuer’s great grandson Jack Heuer was also in attendance over the weekend. To celebrate his upcoming 80th birthday, Jack was presented with a special framed time sheet of Prost's lap times from the 1986 Monaco Grand Prix, the first year TAG Heuer became time keepers for Formula 1.
In addition to this gift, TAG Heuer has released a special edition Carrera watch to commemorate Jack Heuers 80th Birthday. The watch is in stock at Banks Lyon, who are exclusive dealers. The attractive special edition comes with extra touches, including Jack Heuers signature and the Heuer family coat of arms which dates back to the 15th century.
Jasmin and Rodney were guests of TAG Heuer and their UK Brand Director Rob Diver last Friday evening at the Bailiffs Court Hotel in West Sussex. Jack Heuer and Alain Prost were also both in attendance, creating a great evening.
On the Saturday, dinner was held at the Goodwood House Kennels, built over 200 years ago to house the Duke of Richmond's prized hunting hounds, but now home to Goodwood's Golf club since 1914.
For the rest of the day, Jasmin and Rodney watched the cars competing in the hill climb and admiring the exotic cars which Goodwood is renowned for; afterwards they attended the Goodwood ball in the evening.

The ball was one of the blue ribbon events in the social calendar for 2012. Guests in attendance included Damon Hill, John Surtees, Alain Prost, Nick Mason, Mark Webber and Mclaren drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jensen Button. There were over 1200 guests in attendance, creating a great atmosphere. During the event, the guests were led outside and treated to Pink Floyd tracks by Nick Mason, including The Great Gig In The Sky. There was also an amazing fireworks display before going back inside to be entertained by the amazing Kenny Wayne Shepherd and his band.
Altogether it was an excellent weekend enjoyed by all, thanks again to TAG Heuer watches and everyone involved for creating a great event!
