The Breitling Calibre 01 movement was the first movement entirely developed and produced in Breitling workshops. First used to power the exclusive version of their flagship Chronomat model, the movement is now used in many of the watches Breitling produce, as it is known for its reliability and efficiency.

The Limited Edition Breitling Transocean also features the Caliber 01 Movement
The latest model in the Calibre 01 collection is the Montbrillant 01 Limited, following the success of the Transocean 01, Chronomat 01, and Navitimer 01. The Calibre 01 movement uses a revolutionary assembly process, and it had proven to be one of the most dependable of all self winding chronograph movements.
The Montbrillant 01 Limited has been issued in two limited edition variations, with 2000 being produced in steel and 200 in luxurious red gold. The individual watch number is engraved at 9 o’clock in the case middle. The dial is Mercury Silver, and the watch also features graceful hands and a traditional central hundredth of a second counter. There is also an 18 carat gold version of the winged ‘B’ that used to serve as the brand symbol until the mid twentieth century positioned at 12 o’clock.
The timepiece also features 30 minute and 12 hour totalisers, a calendar, a bidirectional rotating bezel and a water resistance of up to 3 bars. The transparent sapphire crystal case back has been glare-proofed on both sides, and produces glorious views of the Breitling Calibre 01 with its column wheel and original structure.
For collectors and buyers with a love of movement, the Calibre 01 series makes the ideal choice of timepiece.
