TAG Heuer's Iconic Monaco Watch.

Tag Heuer is known as one of the most innovative watch makers on the planet, and has been for decades. In 1969 TAG unveiled what was, at the time the world’s only square cased water resistant watch. Alongside that, the Calibre 11 movement of the watch was also the world’s first automatic chronograph.

Just One of the Watches in the Stunning Monaco Collection by TAG Heuer

This watch was the TAG Heuer Monaco, and it was quickly thrust into the public eye when Steve McQueen wore the watch in the 1970 film “Le Mans”. The film became one of the iconic films of the 1970’s and, as such the Monaco became in iconic part of the TAG Heuer range.

To this day the TAG Heuer Monaco continues to be a huge part of the esteemed watch makers heritage, and present line. With a new variant on the original design released every few years, the spirit of the original Monaco lives on. The striking blue chronograph catches the eye with its 60 second counter at the 3 o’clock marker and the 30 minute counter at the 9 o’clock spot. With the red-orange coloured straps that provide such a strong contrast with the blue background, and the blue alligator strap that further adds to the distinctive style of this iconic watch. The design of the Monaco has lived on through the decades and is still unparalleled in terms of the instant realization of the iconic timepiece upon first sight.

The Monaco has seen many different incarnations over the years; however TAG Heuer has always remained true to the original design ideas that made the very first Monaco such a huge success.
