It has been some months since Andrew Geoghegan was featured on our blog, and in the interim period it is certainly fair to say that this revolutionary jewellery designer has been receiving widespread acclaim. Back in December, Andrew Geoghegan was honoured with the extremely prestigious British Jewellers Association (BJA) ‘Designer of the Year’ award; a feat that was enthusiastically hailed as a triumph by this Yorkshire based jewellery designer. The BJA is internationally recognised as one of the most influential bodies within the world of luxury jewellery as a whole, so to attain such an accolade was sterling proof of the premium status that Andrew Geoghegan now holds. Having already earned previous mentions upon various respected lists such as the ‘Hot 100’ list of 2012 – a compilation that celebrates the true movers and shakers within the jewellery industry – it might have been easy for Andrew Geoghegan to bask in his already considerable success, yet a cursory glance at his activity this year would soon refute this notion.
Having already secured a vast following on his home soil, in the l
ast month the Andrew Geoghegan brand has also begun to expand in a truly global sense. The Inorghenta 2014 trade fair was carefully selected as the venue for this international debut, and a huge range of new jewellery was proudly revealed alongside the already extensive collection of this incredibly popular jewellery designer. A total of 4 new rings were revealed on the very first day of the Inorghenta fair; namely the Lacuna, the Phoenix and two fresh additions to the stunning Cannelé collection (pictured below: respectively from left to right). Not content to merely bring a breathtaking assortment of jewellery to the event, Geoghegan also allied himself with the famous Swedish illustrator Amelie Hegardt, ensuring that even the exhibition stand was a true work of art (see above). The Andrew Geoghegan brand has risen to great prominence in a very short time, and so it should come as no surprise to find that they took such pains over their first international event.
Andrew Geoghegan’s presence at the Inorghenta event was undoubtedly an undiluted success, and this quintessentially British designer is now looking forward to the rest of the year. A lot of effort was poured into showcasing the superb qualities of Andrew Geoghegan design at the Inorghenta, and the ongoing procedure for the exportation of Andrew Geoghegan jewellery is now of paramount importance in the company’s plans. Nothing other than international significance was ever going to be enough for this ambitious, and above all talented, young designer, and, backed by a vocal following, that dream is now approaching the realms of reality.
