There’s something about the richness of warm tones, the texture of soft knitwear, and the art of layering that makes this time of year feel effortlessly luxurious. Sapphire is September’s birthstone, celebrated for its deep, velvety tones and its striking contrast against both silver and gold. It’s a stone that speaks of sophistication and strength – and here are two of my personal favourites:

There’s no combination quite like sapphire and diamond, and with this pendant, you get added brilliance due to its circular nature. This means the stones catch the light more frequently and give you a spectacular dazzle when worn. The sapphires total 0.99ct and the outer rows of diamonds total 0.28ct, making the necklace truly eye-catching.
18ct White Gold 2.03 Oval Sapphire & Diamond Split Ring
Whilst the necklace I’ve mentioned gives you lots of individual sapphires adorned with diamonds, this ring has an impressive 2.03ct oval cut sapphire as its central focus. This ring would work as an engagement ring, special occasion gift, or as a one-of-a-kind addition to your collection.
October Opal & Tourmaline
October is blessed with two birthstones: opal and tourmaline. Both are renowned for their individuality – opal for its iridescent, pearl-like shimmer reminiscent of ocean light, and tourmaline for its mesmerising variety of colours, from vivid pinks to serene greens.
18ct Yellow Gold Opal & Diamond Halo Stud Earrings
There’s no piece more versatile than the stud earring in my opinion. They can be worn daily without being too much of a statement and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. These yellow gold, opal & diamond studs show off the iridescence of the opal with a subtle sparkle from the halo of diamonds totalling 0.14ct.
Platinum 3.67ct Cushion Cut Bi-Colour Tourmaline & Diamond Halo Ring
There are many avenues you can go down when choosing a tourmaline piece, but if you’re looking for one inspired by the shades of autumn, this cushion-cut ring is exceptional. The olive-green stone is surrounded by 16 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 0.48ct, creating a contrast between the dark and light colours of the ring.
