It’s only a concept, but there’s hope that this could one day become a reality. The iWatch concept created by Antonio De Rosa, who has been responsible for several iPhone concepts, incorporates a variety of different features that would undoubtedly make it a huge success were Apple ever to create and release this product.

The proposed iWatch concept.
The proposed iWatch would have 16GB of internal hard-drive space, an RSS reader and the ability to sync with other Apple products via WiFi or Bluetooth. However, one proposed feature that may require some technological advances before it could become reality is a projector built into the unit that would be able to project images and maybe video too onto surfaces. Unfortunately that feature would be practically impossible to incorporate into a miniaturized mass market product for the meantime, but it’s quite likely that in the future this may be a possibility.

The new iPod Nano with wrist attachment.
For the meantime the iWatch is merely an idea, but one that seems increasingly close to reality after the latest addition to the iPod Nano series was unveiled earlier this month. Many were confused by the radical new redesign of the iPod Nano until it became quite apparent that attaching a strap via two hoops on the back of the unit could transform it into a wristwatch.
It seems likely that this feature will prove popular with consumers, particular those who are especially devoted followers of Apple and their products. It also seems quite likely that Apple will pursue the wristwatch concept further with the release of additional iPod products in the future; perhaps the iWatch is a lot closer to being a reality that we previously thought.
