In 1884, Leon Breitling opened a small workshop up in the Jura Mountains, Switzerland. Originally specialising in the manufacture of precision instruments for scientists and industrial purposes, his passion, meticulous attention to detail and ingenuity were passed down through the generations to give the Breitling family the exceptional reputation they hold today.
Breitling Professional Watches were initially created for the most exacting of professionals, primarily for aviators, but are fast becoming more of a status symbol due to Breitling’s innovative designs and iconic models. The Professional series is the absolute in watch instrumentation; featuring watches with unrivalled accuracy and the latest developments in technology. The Professional range is comprised of several collections including the Aerospace, Airwolf, Emergency, Skyracer, Skyracer Raven, and the Co-pilot models. Every watch is designed for specialist use, first and foremost for pilots, and encompasses practically applied tools. Aviation functions include a micro transmitter which can broadcast on the 121.5 MHz aircraft emergency frequency, 1/100th of a second chronographs and NVG compatible backlighting.
The Breitling Aerospace, for example, is extremely light due to its titanium case, and includes an LCD screen. It features countless user-friendly functions, such as countdown, 2nd time zone, alarm and audible time all easily controlled via the rotation of the crown. The oversized hands and ultra-high performance SuperQuartzTM movement are all designed and implemented with the demands of professionals in mind, making this a firm favourite amongst pilots and other great travellers.
Since 1914 when Gaston Breitling invented the very first wrist chronograph, Breitling have continued to move the benchmark in precision timekeeping, whilst sustaining their outstanding eminence in the watch making industry. The Professional series is a tribute to the Breitling family’s perseverance and worldwide success.
